Position: 1099 Managed Care Contracting Consultant

Experience Required: Must have worked for a managed care health plan in Network Development and/or Provider Relations negotiating contracts. To be considered you must have at least 7 verifiable years successfully building and expanding managed care networks for Medicare Advantage and/or Medicaid health plans. Candidate must have recent experience contracting with hospitals, ancillary companies, IPAs, PHOs, ACOs, multispecialty physician groups, and Long Term Care community service providers.

Job Description: Must have a home or commercial office, high-speed internet and be available for travel. Work remotely most of the time calling assigned leads, sending out contracts and negotiating language and rates. Build relationships and provide outstanding customer service by educating decision-makers on the company, product and market changes. Attend scheduled meetings with clients and work with team members to create transparency and overcome barriers that may arise during a project. Track daily recruitment status using our customized web-based CRM. Must be familiar with HSD tables, writing narratives and exception letters, and responding to RFP’s

Education: Master’s degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree required.

Technical Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel necessary. Must be able to learn new software for some projects.

Legal: Must pass national criminal background check, 5 panel drug test and cannot be on OIG exclusion list. Must agree to work exclusively for HCPC during the length of your contract. Subcontracting is not allowed.
